White River Country Estate has grown into one of the best golf course housing estate developments in South Africa. Long term rentals on the Estate are in high demand, and currently there is a waiting list for people wanting to occupy homes. Here, position plays a factor and rentals fetch between R15,000.00 and R25,000.00 per month.
Levies are reasonable and payable to the Home Owners Association (A Non Profit company which manages the Estate). This includes security - a perimeter electric fence, security guards at all entrances and a 24 hour patrol of the Estate. It also includes the general maintenance of the Estate, roads, entrances etc, the mowing of each personal garden and the general mowing of all community areas.
Regarding building a home on the Estate, there is no time limit in which to build and many of our owners have opted to pay off their stands before commencing construction of their homes. The only pre-requisite is that builders are required to register with the Home Owners Association and they also need to be a registered member of the NHBRC.
Owners on the Estate vary from from Corporate Ownership; International Owners (some who have emigrated and others who use their homes for three- six months of the year), young couples with children, retired couples.
