The White River Country Estate has grown into one of the best golf course housing estate developments in South Africa. Our owners all enjoy the Lowveld Living lifestyle on the Estate. We are fortunate to be able to let our children run free on the Estate and take walks within the Estate and alongside the river without feeling concerned regarding personal safety.

All the ingredients that are necessary for a successful residential golfing estate can be found here. Forming the backdrop to the White River Country Club and the Golf Course are magnificent homes situated on generous sized stands. The low maintenance architectural theme of terra cotta roofs, face brick and stone plinths, wooden or powder coated aluminium windows and doors all ensure that the homes blend in with the natural environment. The estate has also installed a state of the art fibre optic communications network, which is maintained by an external telecommunications company.

Initially thought of as a resort or weekend retreat, events and circumstances have ensured that we have evolved into an exceptional residential golfing estate. The perfect year-round climate makes owning a home here good sense, as anyone with a love for the outdoors will testify.

Security is a top priority and this enables both adults and children to enjoy a wonderful carefree lifestyle. The estate typically has no walls inside the boundaries, resulting in an open park-like atmosphere where one can take advantage of a late night stroll and other activities presently denied those in many built up metropolitan areas.

The White River Country Estate is situated around the well-groomed and maintained White Rivers Country Club’s 18-hole championship golf course. There are a range of additional sporting facilities including tennis, a squash court, cricket and hockey field, and a swimming pool, all of which are enjoyed year-round, due to the fantastic sub-tropical climate of the region. Homeowners are automatically enrolled as members of the club through their monthly levies and are encouraged to join at least one section of the club.

Levies are reasonable and payable to the Home Owners Association (A Non Profit company which manages the Estate). This includes :

  • 24-hour Security – Thermal cameras, a patrolled perimeter electric fence, security guards at all entrances and a 24-hours patrols of the Estate.
  • It also includes the general maintenance of the Estate, roads, entrances etc,
  • Mowing of each personal garden and the general mowing of all community areas.

Regarding building a home on the Estate, there is no time limit in which to build and many of our owners have opted to pay off their stands before commencing construction of their homes. The only pre-requisite is that builders are required to register with the Home Owners Association as well as being registered members of the NHBRC.

Ownership on the Estate varies from Corporate and International Ownership, young families with or without children and, retired couples. Our owners all enjoy the lifestyle on the Estate and nearby Lake Longmere, Lake Hulala and Klipkopjie Dam i.e. walking, cycling, mountain biking, windsurfing, fishing, bush adventures, golf and tennis to name a few – we are very fortunate to be able to let our children move freely on the Estate and take walks along the road and along the river flowing through the estate.

Levies
