The White River Country Estate has grown into one of the best golf course housing estate developments in South Africa. Our owners all enjoy the Lowveld Living lifestyle on the Estate. We are fortunate to be able to let our children run free on the Estate and take walks within the Estate and alongside the river without feeling concerned regarding personal safety.

All the ingredients that are necessary for a successful residential golfing estate can be found here. Forming the backdrop to the White River Country Club and the Golf Course are magnificent homes situated on generous sized stands. The low maintenance architectural theme of terra cotta roofs, face brick and stone plinths, wooden or powder coated aluminium windows and doors all ensure that the homes blend in with the natural environment. The estate has also installed a state of the art fibre optic communications network, which is maintained by an external telecommunications company.

Initially thought of as a resort or weekend retreat, events and circumstances have ensured that we have evolved into an exceptional residential golfing estate. The perfect year-round climate makes owning a home here good sense, as anyone with a love for the outdoors will testify.

Security:

Security is a top priority and this enables both adults and children to enjoy a wonderful carefree lifestyle. The estate typically has no walls inside the boundaries, resulting in an open park-like atmosphere where one can take advantage of a late night stroll and other activities presently denied those in many built up metropolitan areas.

The White River Country Club:

The White River Country Estate is situated around the well-groomed and maintained White Rivers Country Club’s 18-hole championship golf course. There are a range of additional sporting facilities including tennis, a squash court, cricket and hockey field, and a swimming pool, all of which are enjoyed year-round, due to the fantastic sub-tropical climate of the region. Homeowners are automatically enrolled as members of the club through their monthly levies and are encouraged to join at least one section of the club.

Entertainment and Amenities on and near the Estate:

White River has several entertainment opportunities on offer. The Barnyard Theatre offers outstanding shows which change weekly, in a relaxed atmosphere where one can take a picnic basket whilst enjoy the event.

Within a short driving distance the estate, Casterbridge is a collection of owners run small businesses which offer visitors and residents alike the opportunity to browse and purchase locally made items whilst supporting local businesses. The complex also includes a small movie theatre showing latest releases, several restaurants, coffee shops and pub.

Across the road from Casterbridge, the Bagdad Centre houses a collection of small offices for small businesses and further varied selection of restaurants.

The monthly Farmer’s Market is held at Casterbridge on the first Saturday of every month.

Locally one finds a vibrant central business district. ranging from small businesses, Postnet, garages, cafes, restaurants, banks, national chain grocery and clothing stores. There is a brand new shopping complex being built on the corner of the R40 as one enters the town from Nelspruit. Expected completion date is late 2019 and anchor tenants include Woolworths, Shoprite, Pick N Pay Clothing and Dischem, to name just a few.

Further afield, one discovers shopping opportunities in Nelspruit such as The Riverside Mall Shopping Centre and the Grove Shopping Centre which are a mere 20 minutes form the estate. Ilanga Mall is slightly further away and includes entertainment experiences such as an Ice Rink and cinema.

Naturally the opportunity to discover the rich heritage of the Lowveld also exists and may exiting, interesting and informative routes start from our front doors! These include to name but a few Bourke’s Luck Potholes, eating pancakes in Sabie. Gazing out from God;s Window, rediscovering the gold rush era in Pilgrim’s Rest. No visit to the area would be complete without journeying into the world famous Kruger National Park with Kruger, home of a range of Africa’s most iconic wildlife species include the likes of lion, elephant, leopard, antelope and more! The Phabeni and Numbi entry gates are within a short driving distance.
